Tim Barnes

Tim is a seasoned leader, having served in nonprofit and faith based organizations for more than 30 years, nearly 20 of those years in executive positions His roles have focused on individual and organizational development and operations.  Having a keen interest in different cultures and international issues, Tim has been involved in numerous global projects, traveled extensively, and lived overseas for a time. 

Currently, Tim serves as Executive Vice President of the Minneapolis-based International Association for Refugees (IAFR), an international organization focused on helping people survive and recover from forced displacement.  Tim is known for asking insightful questions and providing both wisdom and encouragement to other nonprofit leaders.  He is an avid sports fan, enjoys reading, traveling, and learning.  Tim lives in Central Illinois with his wife Liz, who is a small business owner.  They have two adult children.

Nathan Ruby

Nathan has served the nonprofit world for over 20 years as both consultant and Executive Director   His leadership experience includes both domestic and international nonprofits. Throughout his career, Nathan has felt drawn toward health and nutrition-related organizations and has worked extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.

Currently, Nathan serves as the Executive Director of Friends of the Children of Haiti (FOTCOH) and has been actively involved with projects in Haiti since 2002. He especially enjoys meeting new people and helping them to identify and live out their passion and purpose.  Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife Missy, who works as a special education preschool teacher, and also with their three grown children.
